Hurry! Limited Time Only! Act Now!

Some sort of health care reform is obviously necessary, but it is concerning, that when many members of congress, in a recent bipartisan letter to the president, say they need more time to get it right, the president insists that they ram something through by an August deadline! What is the rush? A problem this complex will take some time to determine the best course. Like a salesman trying to push a deal, what is in the fine print we are not seeing? The last last time we spent trillions without thinking we got the bank "bailout" program.

4th Find

Serendipity. As I was on my ride this morning, I came to a fork in the road and decided for really no reason at all to go a way I usually don't go. As I rode and approached the outskirts of town, I came across a place I don't see often, the Veterans Memorial Museum flying a huge American flag. The sign on the building says "They Shall Not Be Forgotten". By "luck" I was helped to remember.

Independence Day

We started a glorious 4th of July weekend here in the NW. This day also marks the beginning of 2 weeks of independence from work. After my oldest daughter returns from a trip to the east coast today, we will be heading to Colorado for a road trip vacation and a meeting thrown in. Fortunately I don't consider sports medicine meetings in Keystone work. It should be a great time. Now it's time to gear up and head out for a bike ride. 30 miles of hills and intervals planned.
